SpectraLyte-E3

The SpectraLyte E3 semi-automatic electrolyte analyzer uses Multi-Biosensor Technology to measure Na+, K+ and Cl- by direct measurement, with each result in about 35 seconds and a maintenance-free electrode.
SpectraLyte-E3
Benefits and key features
  • Multi-Biosensor Technology (MBT) — the electrode is maintenance-free, so there is no electrode conditioning in the daily routine.
  • Measures Na+, K+ and Cl- by direct measurement.
  • 5.6 inch colour touchscreen for quick operation and fast troubleshooting.
  • Closed, dedicated reagent pack that is easy to replace, with an inside waste provision.
  • Low reagent and low sample consumption — 60–120 µl per sample.
  • Stable, robust fluidic system built around an advanced rotary valve.
  • Multi-level calibrators and controls secure the accuracy of every result.
  • Stores up to 6,000 sample results for easy review.

Three variants share the same platform: the E3 (K+, Na+, Cl-), the E4 (adds iCa2+ and pH), and the E4 AL, which adds a sample autoloader for higher workloads.

  • Dimensions: 455 × 275 × 480 mm (H × W × D); 6 kg.
  • Approvals: ISO 9001, ISO 13485, CE.

Performance — detection range, precision and resolution:

  • K+ — 0.50 to 20.00 mmol/L, CV ≤ 1.0%, resolution 0.01
  • Na+ — 15.00 to 200.00 mmol/L, CV ≤ 1.0%, resolution 0.1
  • Cl- — 15.00 to 200.00 mmol/L, CV ≤ 1.0%, resolution 0.1
Reagent packs

The analyser runs on a closed, dedicated reagent pack. Because the biosensor is built into the pack, replacing the pack also replaces the sensing element — there is no separate electrode to condition, clean or replace.

  • Closed pack design: no open reagent handling and no manual filling.
  • Easy to replace, with waste contained inside the instrument.
  • Low reagent consumption per test.
  • Multi-level calibrators and control material available for the full parameter set.

The E3 uses its own calibration pack (Calibration Pack: E-3), covering K+, Na+ and Cl-.

Frequently asked questions

Which parameters does the E3 measure?
Na+, K+ and Cl-. For iCa2+ and pH as well, choose the E4.

How fast is it?
At least 100 samples per hour, with each result in about 35 seconds.

How much sample does a test need?
60 to 120 µl of serum, diluted urine or aqueous solution.

Do the electrodes need maintenance?
No. Multi-Biosensor Technology makes the electrode maintenance-free, and the biosensor is part of the reagent pack.

How many results can it store?
Up to 6,000 samples, reviewable on the instrument.

How does it connect to our systems?
Two USB-A ports, one USB-B, LAN and RS232, plus a built-in thermal printer and an optional barcode scanner for sample and patient ID.
